Version 1.1 - Build 2942

Build Number

The About page of The Connector now displays the version and build information. This will better help users distinguish which version and build they are running to know if a feature they need is available in that build.

Using remaining estimate if present

There is a third option for the "Task Duration Calculation Mode". This option allows the task to duration to be set to the remaining estimate if provided, otherwise it will use the task origional estimate. This will allow a project manager to pull into Microsoft Project a task and set the duration equal to only the amount left on the estimate. From a scheduling standpoint, use this option if you are only concerned about the amount of effect remaining to complete a task.

Configure Time Unit Mappings

An option has been added to allow for configuration of the time unit "code". This will allow for support of non-English versions of Microsoft Project. For example, in the English version, Microsoft Project uses "d" for days, "h" for hours, etc. Non-English versions use other values. Configure those values here to support other languages.

Map percentage complete if greater

An option has been added to the JIRA status mappings. Sometimes there is a need for a task in Microsoft Project to be updated with a percentage complete value other than the calcuated value. For example, if a task is estimated at 8 hours, but it only takes 4 hours to complete, the percentage complete gets calculated at 50%, however because the task is complete, the desired result is to be set to 100%. This allows The Connector to use the percentage complete mappings if that value is greater than the calculated value.

Remember import settings

The import dialog will now allow you to remember your last settings. This will streamline the use of the import function eliminating the need to re-enter all of the values each time you need to do an import.

Sub-tasks Issue Types

Sub-task issue types are now available in the issue type list of the import tool. This allows you to import those issues as needed. The parent/child relationship is not retained during this import. NOTE: This functionality is being developed for the next release of The Connector.

Not Used Value added

A value for configuring the "NA" value of a Microsoft Project task due-date is provided. This is added to support non-English versions Microsoft Project as those versions use a different value for specifying this.
