Import
The Import utility allows you to select a JIRA project and import all of the existing issues into the current project plan. This is useful as a starting point if you have a number of issues already created and wish to create a project plan based on those issues.
To import tasks into the currently open project file, type a project into the JIRA Project field (or use the Project Browser to select from a list).
Import Mode
- Delete all current tasks and replace with imported JIRA issues
- Append all new JIRA issues to the current list of tasks
- Append all new / update existing issues with current JIRA information
Resource Assignment
- Import all JIRA issues as unassigned
- Create resource entries and assign all tasks using the current JIRA assignment
- Assign the task only if resource exists
Import Restrictions
- Import only assigned issues
- Import only unassigned issues
- Import both assigned and unassigned issues
The second window of the import wizard allows you to select a filter for the issue type, priority and status. Choosing these values will allow you to import a subset of the JIRA project's issues.
